I don't know how I ended up at Hudson Yards for the fourth time in three weeks, and I swear I won't be going back anytime soon (if ever), but least this odyssey ended on a high-note with dinner at Wild Ink.Read More
Now in its sixth year, Cherry Bombe Jubilee is the largest female-food conference nationwide. And the organization behind it happens to produce one of my favorite magazines and weekly podcasts (foodcasts?) out there.Read More
The Shed, the latest venue at Hudson Yards to open to the public this week, might look more like something the Empire/First Order would design than a cultural center. (The Imperial Opera House of the First Order?)
That said, it might have the most to offer to everyday New Yorkers who don't want to go to the glorified mall across the pathway.Read More
FORTUNE is expanding its lifestyle coverage, with more original reporting and features dedicated to food, wine, travel, and more. We started a new dining series over the last few months, highlighting restaurants in major cities that are just under-the-radar—so worth hitting up before the Instagram crowds discover them.
I’ve had the pleasure of editing these reviews from one of our top writers, Adam Erace, and I hope you have the pleasure of reading them. Enjoy.

This week (and month) kicked off with April Fools Day: an entire day of insufferable fake news—most of which probably isn't as funny or clever as their creators think they are.
I received many, MANY pitches filled with half-baked puns and jokes. But this here, the subject line in a pitch email, is truly the one to win April 1: "Embargo: Roosevelt Island To Become Rosévelt Island"
Moving on to real news, for the most part.

Rewatching all of HBO’s Game of Thrones over the last month has me wanting to re-read Martin’s books—perhaps with (false) optimism that the sixth book, The Winds of Winter, might finally coming out in the next year. Then again, White Walkers will probably show up in North America first before that happens.
For those of you who have not read A Song of Ice and Fire, but would like to, I recently put this guide together on how to do so FOR FREE through the convenience of your own smartphones and tablets through your local library. Seven blessings to you all.Read More
I’m currently in the midst of the hell that is moving within New York City. Personally, I think moving OUT of New York is the worst, but that’s because this is the place I consider home now, and I’ve had to leave NY a few times before—each time breaking my heart more than the last. So thankfully, I’m just moving between boroughs rather than states or time zones or oceans.
That said, while I’m unpacking my wine collection—honestly the only reason I hired movers was to move my sofa, bed, and wine bottles—here are some weekend reads for you.

Steven Spielberg is out here shilling for Apple TV+ and now his anti-Netflix campaign makes even more sense. Steven Spielberg Mocked Over Appearance at Apple Event After Netflix Criticism (Yahoo Movies)
Speaking of this week’s Apple event, it’s remarkable how Apple announced nothing at all yet glossed over that fact with a parade of A-list celebrities. I’m keen on the Reese Witherspoon+Jennifer Aniston show, but otherwise, I can’t see why I’d want to pay for Apple TV+—not to mention Apple doesn’t know when it will roll out the service to other supported devices that it noted.
