And yet, even on a frigid Monday night in early December, the halls were jam-packed with what felt like hundreds of people...at least on the first floor where the bar was. (Merci, Ruinart!) Turns out I shouldn’t have felt so surprised. While I was invited (which is how I found out about the event in the first place), it turns out the entire thing is FREE. Yes, a free wine bar and access to some fantastic (and expensive!) art in the middle of New York City.
The queue for Urbani Truffles (described to be “from Piedmont and artisanal gnocchi pearls in wildly original flavors and bold colors by Patavini”) was one to remember, so I ended up just skipping it after already dedicating 15 minutes to it.
Nevertheless, the evening showing was a great opportunity to check out the galleries—all the good stuff is on the third floor.
