I recently had a double whammy of an opportunity. A few weeks ago, I sat down with the outgoing and incoming cellar masters at Dom Pérignon, who are touring the U.S. right now with the 2008 Vintage, which will be widely released later this year.
(If you're unfamiliar with what a vintage Champagne is versus a non-vintage, it's briefly addressed in my article, but PureWow has an excellent simple explainer.)
And yes, I got to taste it.
Both Vincent Chaperon and his mentor Richard Geoffroy were delightful to chat with, and the conversation could have gone on for hours, if they didn't have another engagement. Regardless, I was really excited to be able to write a short feature about a major generational shift at one of the world's most prestigious Champagne houses.
You can read it now (and see more lovely photos, courtesy of LVMH/Dom Pérignon) over on Fortune.com.
