Gone are summer Fridays. This might be the first year in recent memory I've been truly reluctant to let go of summer in favor of autumn, the latter usually being my favorite season of the year.

I'm not sure it's entirely similar but this uncomfortably reminds me of all the money Condé Nast pumped into Epicurious, which IMO was a disaster.
